A national bank with a legacy, highly customized behavior-monitoring system found it difficult to scale and adapt as insider threats and remote work increased. Needing better visibility into authorized-user activity and faster detection of intentional or accidental misuse, the bank sought a flexible, cloud-based solution to strengthen internal fraud defenses.

Bottomline Technologies deployed its cloud Insider and Employee Fraud platform (part of CFRM) out-of-the-box on AWS, using user behavior analytics, cross-channel profiling and screen-by-screen session replay. The bank activated 70 pre-set rules to monitor activity across 5 million accounts and about 400,000 internal transactions daily in real time; the Investigation Center streamlined case management, improving detection, prevention and scalability for future expansion.
