Banque Cantonale de Fribourg powers prosperity with secure global transactions

Banque Cantonale de Fribourg is a Swiss universal bank founded in 1892 with 28 offices (including a mobile banking bus), more than 440 employees and over CHF 16 billion in assets. The bank faced an end-of-life transaction processing system that struggled with rising market volatility, tighter regulatory and risk-compliance demands, and growing infrastructure costs, prompting a move to a cloud-based global transaction processing solution.

Banque Cantonale de Fribourg implemented Bottomline’s GTExchange via the GTCloud platform to gain single-window access to domestic networks (SIC and SECOM) and international networks (SWIFT), while meeting SWIFT, FINMA and ISAE 3402 standards. The solution delivered end-to-end payment security, robust scanning and anti-money-laundering filtering, and simplified connectivity to global interbank networks; the project was completed on time and on budget and users have praised the thin-client GTCloud interface.
