A Bottomline Case Study

Preview of the New England Biolabs Case Study

New England Biolabs transforms digital order processing

New England Biolabs GmbH (NEB), the European service hub for a leading molecular biology reagents company, processes roughly 4,750 purchase orders a month from academic and commercial customers. Orders arrive in many machine-readable but often modified or proprietary formats, forcing time-consuming manual reformatting, error correction and re-entry into the ERP system.

NEB partnered with ZS Computer Service to deploy Bottomline Transform, adding servers, training, a REST interface and drag-and-drop mapping tools to automatically convert incoming orders into ERP-ready formats. The solution created a digital processing hub that cut manual effort, reduced reliance on external consultants, improved the customer ordering experience and supported NEB’s next-day delivery promise, with plans to extend automation to invoicing.
