The City of Boca Raton faced challenges with its inefficient, multi-step employee onboarding process and wanted to improve service request handling across all departments. Many of their procedures were manual, requiring the creation of multiple tickets per new hire, which slowed down operations. To address this, the city turned to BOSS and implemented the BOSSDesk Service Management platform on the cloud.
BOSS addressed these issues by automating the complex onboarding process using workflows and approvals within the BOSSDesk Service Catalog. This solution automated manual steps, created tasks for non-technical staff, and provided a single, visual place to manage the logical ordering of all required tasks. The implementation by BOSS was extremely well received, significantly improved service delivery, and made the process easy for employees to use.
