Minnesota United FC, the Major League Soccer club behind the Loons, wanted to strengthen a values-driven culture across its full-time workforce while building on the success of a manual peer recognition program used by its guest services staff. As the organization grew and shifted post-COVID, it needed a more scalable way to align employees around its mission and new workplace beliefs, and turned to Bonusly for employee recognition.

Minnesota United FC implemented Bonusly to bring its five beliefs and “beliefs in action” into daily work, with recognition shared through hashtags and integrated into Slack. The result was an easy-to-track program with about 80% participation, regular peer recognition, and use of points for gift cards, while Bonusly also helped celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and reinforced collaboration across departments.
