Assent Compliance, a supply-chain data management SaaS company, grew from 15 to over 500 employees across Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia. As Assentees expanded, recognition was inconsistent—different departments had varied practices and only a few people received public praise—so Keira Torkko, VP of Employee Experience, sought a consistent, transparent way to surface what motivates employees and communicate contributions at scale.
In December 2018 Assent rolled out Bonusly, giving each Assentee 100 monthly credits and integrating it with Slack and BambooHR to make peer-to-peer recognition routine. In the first seven months Assentees gave more than 11,000 bonuses (92% received and 81% gave at least one bonus monthly), with about 70 bonuses a day ongoing; leadership now uses Bonusly Analytics to identify top performers, CSR and global rewards are supported, abuse did not occur, and targeted incentives further encouraged thoughtful recognition—helping build a collaborative global culture.
