Royal Bank of Scotland - Customer Case Study

Royal Bank of Scotland engaged Board Intelligence to help meet a strategic aim to “simplify” the bank by improving the quality and consistency of board and committee reporting. RBS needed clearer, more succinct papers that focused on the information directors require and that met increased scrutiny under the Senior Managers Regime.

Board Intelligence delivered a three‑phase programme—implementing a suite of report templates, running an enterprise‑wide training rollout to upskill authors, and streamlining management information—to refocus papers on what the board needs. The work produced shorter, pithier and more insightful reports, enabled authors to produce high‑quality papers in fewer drafts (saving management time), and made it easier for RBS to fulfil Senior Managers Regime requirements and for boards to concentrate on key issues.
