Fujitsu FSAS (Japan) streamlines and standardizes its cloud-based IT services business with server automation

Fujitsu FSAS, the Fujitsu Group’s IT infrastructure services organization in Japan, faced a fragmented, decentralized server environment spread across 80 sites that created high administrator workload, inconsistent operations, and governance challenges. To improve efficiency and security, the company needed to consolidate its infrastructure and build a standardized private cloud.

Working with BMC channel partner Fujitsu Limited, FSAS implemented BMC BladeLogic Server Automation to centralize and automate server lifecycle management. The result: a company-wide private cloud of 259 servers at two sites, 5x faster service provisioning (from five days to one), centralized management by just three staff, standardized configuration and security across servers, and reduced operational risk and administrative overhead.
