Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs uses the cloud to cut platform delivery time from 2 weeks to 3 hours

Dienst ICT Uitvoering (DICTU), the ICT shared‑services organization for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, needed to modernize its IT architecture while building a private cloud to migrate over 5,000 servers. During the transition it had to manage a hybrid environment spanning 12,000 workstations, 830 specialized applications and connections at more than 200 locations, and accelerate service delivery for citizens, businesses and government agencies.

DICTU implemented BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management to automate provisioning and BMC TrueSight Operations Management for end‑to‑end monitoring and intelligent event/impact management. The automation cut platform delivery time from two weeks to three hours (about 99% faster), delivered cost transparency for showback/chargeback, and improved problem diagnosis and resolution across both cloud and traditional environments.
