A BMC Software Case Study
Boston Scientific, a global medical technology company that serves over 22 million patients a year, needed to guarantee next‑morning delivery commitments for critical devices like pacemakers and stents. To avoid delays that could harm patient outcomes, IT established a global command center to centrally monitor the health and performance of its IT infrastructure and critical applications worldwide.
Using BMC TrueSight to proactively monitor more than 40 critical apps that support manufacturing, inventory, distribution and finance, the command center now intercepts about one‑third of critical tickets and addresses them before they escalate. With intuitive dashboards, alerts and reports, two staff members oversee global monitoring, accelerating response and resolution times and helping ensure timely delivery of medical products; integration with Remedy and autoticketing is planned to further automate workflows.
