BMC, a global leader in software solutions that help IT transform businesses, partnered with the State of Oregon Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) when Microsoft’s Windows Server changes required an upgrade to BMC’s BladeLogic Server Automation across more than 2,700 servers. ETS needed a fast, low‑disruption upgrade that wouldn’t pull internal staff away from critical daily operations for the agencies that serve four million citizens.

BMC Consulting managed the end‑to‑end upgrade—requirements, planning, deployment and testing—while BMC Education provided onsite training to maximize staff proficiency. The project finished in under 10 days, tripled patching productivity as server coverage grew from 900 to 2,700, improved security posture and change detection, and minimized travel and operational disruption.
