Sephora China partners with Blue Yonder to improve supply chain collaboration

Sephora China, the local arm of the global beauty retailer, operates 128 stores across major Chinese cities and targets high‑end customers with curated assortments and premium in‑store experiences. Rapid growth created a disconnect between stores and the central supply‑chain team, leaving Sephora without clear, localized assortments or planograms and hindering supplier collaboration.

To address this, Sephora implemented JDA’s Category Management suite — including Space Planning Plus, Floor Planning Plus and the Category Knowledge Base — with JDA consulting support. The solution gave teams and suppliers a shared, analytics‑driven view of assortments and store layouts, reduced manual data handling, improved vendor communication, and enabled more localized, actionable merchandising plans that support expansion across China and Southeast Asia.
