Blue Yonder Completes Strategic Project to Support M&S Clothing & Home

Marks & Spencer (M&S), the iconic British retailer, faced rapidly changing customer demand and a surge in online shopping after the COVID‑19 pandemic, creating pressure to reduce costs and improve stock flow across its Clothing & Home business. To re‑engineer its end‑to‑end supply chain M&S sought a modern, cloud‑based forecasting and fulfillment platform that could provide faster, more accurate demand insights across its 1,000 stores.

Blue Yonder implemented its Luminate Planning solution on Microsoft Azure, with Tata Consultancy Services and Microsoft supporting integration and analytics. The deployment consolidated demand signals and external variables, delivered prescriptive recommendations for inventory staging, and improved visibility via enhanced KPIs—resulting in fewer stock‑outs, higher inventory turns, a more agile supply chain and a modern, user‑friendly platform to better serve customers online and in store.
