South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) provides housing and planning services to more than 65,000 households and manages 6,500 council homes. Facing roughly 115 new housing applications a month and the need for round‑the‑clock customer access, SKDC needed faster, more reliable processing to avoid delays and reduce resident anxiety. To modernize service delivery it turned to SS&C Blue Prism and intelligent automation.
Working with EY, SKDC implemented an intake form that feeds applications to SS&C Blue Prism intelligent digital workers, which immediately index submissions in ANITE, notify staff if more information is needed and submit complete cases to the housing approval system the same day. The result: day‑one processing for applications, digital workers available 24/7, and the housing application backlog cut to zero within three weeks—improving resident experience and enabling staff to focus on quality interactions and faster placements.
