Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), Thailand’s oldest financial institution, set out to transform the bank and boost productivity by 2020 through large-scale automation but needed a platform and operating model to scale safely and quickly. Working with SS&C Blue Prism and its intelligent automation / RPA capabilities, SCB built a centralized Center of Excellence and adopted a Robotic Operating Model to professionalize process discovery and automation rollout.
Using SS&C Blue Prism’s digital workforce, SCB automated complex workflows—most notably an ATM error resolution sequence where digital workers check ATM logs, validate transactions, issue refunds and post deposits in a five-minute end-to-end process. The SS&C Blue Prism solution processed 3 million transactions, returned 100,000 hours to the business, and enabled customer alerts about possible ATM errors within three minutes.
