Ser Educacional, one of Brazil’s largest providers of higher education with 180,000 students and more than 1,500 courses, faced a rapid enrollment surge of 75,000 students in two years and needed greater agility in its Shared Services Center. To support its "Ser Digital" initiative, Ser Educacional partnered with SS&C Blue Prism to deploy Robotic Process Automation and a connected Digital Workforce.
Using SS&C Blue Prism’s connected‑RPA, Ser Educacional automated 59 finance and shared‑services processes, shifting to a 24‑hour uninterrupted workday and reclaiming 64,000 hours back to the business. The automation cut billing processing from 10 days to 9 hours and reduced student prerequisite checks from 48 hours to 30 minutes, with plans to integrate AI next.
