A SS&C Blue Prism Case Study
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, a 3,800‑staff provider serving five sites around Chelmsford and a regional specialist centre, wanted to improve patients’ arrival experience by deploying self‑service kiosks and integrating them with its Patient Administration System (PAS). To achieve this the Trust engaged SS&C Blue Prism (with Intouch with Health supplying the kiosks) to provide enterprise integration and process automation capable of connecting legacy applications and supporting write‑back to the PAS.
SS&C Blue Prism delivered its Blue Prism platform under a Trust‑wide licence to provide end‑to‑end integration, attendance tracking, advanced error monitoring and management information. Implemented in 8–10 weeks, the solution gave the Trust 100% integration coverage across applications (including older systems), enabled PAS write‑back, improved operational visibility and reporting, and helped extend the life of existing assets—delivering cost‑effective automation and measurable service improvements.
