Leeds Building Society faced an urgent surge of member requests after the UK Government introduced COVID-19 mortgage repayment deferrals and needed to implement a safe, scalable process almost immediately. To meet this challenge the Society extended its intelligent automation capability by working with SS&C Blue Prism and leveraging SS&C Blue Prism digital workers to deliver an automated, end-to-end solution.
SS&C Blue Prism donated additional digital workers and together with Leeds Building Society the team designed, built and deployed an online mortgage deferral program in just six days. The SS&C Blue Prism digital workforce has since processed 28,405 mortgage deferrals, completed up to 1,250 work hours in a single day, automated member communications and seamless return-to-payments — significantly reducing pressure on contact centers and accelerating member support.
