A SS&C Blue Prism Case Study
Car Insurance Company, a large global insurer operating in the Slovak Republic, struggled to calculate accurate car insurance premiums because there was no centralized accident database and agents had to manually request individual driver records. With more than 500,000 requests to process each year, key risk information was often not applied, leading to undercharged policies and exposure to significantly reduced claim payments. The insurer engaged SS&C Blue Prism and its Blue Prism intelligent digital workforce to address this challenge.
SS&C Blue Prism deployed Blue Prism digital workers to automate the online information requests and, after a redesign, now runs the checks in online mode via webservice (LIFO) so results are returned to agents in real time when policies are created. The automation processes 500,000 requests per year, eliminated the need for future policy adjustments, improved customer experience, reduced exposure to claim-payment risk and delivered €0.4M in direct savings.
