Case Study: Siemens achieves cognitive RPA innovation and automates 280,000+ hours with SS&C Blue Prism

A SS&C Blue Prism Case Study

Preview of the Siemens Case Study

How Siemens leverages cognitive technologies to drive RPA innovation

Siemens, the global technology and engineering company, needed to automate end-to-end business processes that contained media breaks and large volumes of unstructured data. To evolve its Digital Workforce and accelerate RPA adoption, Siemens built a global professional RPA service and open automation ecosystem that includes SS&C Blue Prism’s connected‑RPA platform to add cognitive capabilities to its robots.

Using SS&C Blue Prism as the RPA backbone alongside AI services (IBM Watson, Google Cloud, Microsoft), Siemens deployed chatbots, intent interpretation and orchestration to automate scenarios such as invoice-query handling—reducing manual effort, enabling 24/7 support and faster responses. The program scaled from an initial 50 processes and ~80,000 hours automated to 170 additional processes and more than 280,000 additional hours automated within a year, delivering measurable cost reductions, quality improvements and speed gains.
