Large Global Retailer faced slow, error-prone vendor invoice processing: thousands of invoices from more than 12,000 vendors, hundreds of templates and multiple languages required a 30-person team to manually review documents, delaying payments and straining vendor relationships. To address this, the retailer deployed SS&C Blue Prism digital workers together with SS&C Blue Prism Decipher IDP to automate invoice intake and extraction.

SS&C Blue Prism integrated Decipher into the retailer’s central mailbox and digital workforce so invoices are read, ML-extracted, validated and routed automatically, with digital workers combining data, running checks and triggering payments. The solution now processes nearly 7,000 invoices per week, is 2.5× faster end-to-end, achieves 98% data-capture accuracy, has virtually eliminated manual errors and freed staff for higher-value vendor communications.
