Equinix Transforms Financial Processes with Accounts Payable Solution from Blue Prism, ABBYY, and WonderBotz

Equinix, a global interconnection and data center provider, faced high daily invoice volumes coming through multiple channels that required staff to read PDFs, manually enter data, and match invoices to purchase orders—creating a large Accounts Payable (AP) burden and limited end-to-end visibility. To address this, Equinix partnered with SS&C Blue Prism (alongside ABBYY and WonderBotz) and deployed SS&C Blue Prism’s Digital Workers to automate the procure-to-pay process.

SS&C Blue Prism’s Digital Workers now manage the payables inbox, route and rename files, hand documents to ABBYY FlexiCapture for data extraction (with human verification for low-confidence cases), and upload validated invoice data into the AP system while handling exceptions. The automation returned an estimated 6,000–7,000 hours to the business annually, reduced supplier query response time by 60% (from one week to two days), enabled AP clerks to focus on value-added analysis, and delivered faster, more consistent invoice processing.
