Leading Energy Company, a U.S. Fortune 500 petroleum and natural gas explorer and producer, faced steeply falling fuel prices and needed to cut costs while finding new ways to protect top-line performance. To drive efficiency and scale without adding headcount, the company partnered with SS&C Blue Prism and piloted Robotic Process Automation using Blue Prism Digital Workers across finance and supply chain processes.

SS&C Blue Prism implemented an enterprise RPA program—starting with six pilot processes and expanding to 30 Digital Workers in production within 16 months—automating more than 60 processes across 30+ applications. The automation enabled large-scale data processing (land‑agreement classification, vendor reconciliations), faster field data entry and water‑sample analysis to improve well performance, and reduced errors and compliance risk; measured impacts include roughly 66,000 hours saved per year and about $16 million in business value.
