DTE Energy, which serves 2.2 million customers in Michigan, faced a compliance and productivity challenge: with a 10,000-person workforce spread across many business units, tracking and renewing operational qualifications before they expired was cumbersome and risked interrupting critical operations. To tackle this, DTE engaged SS&C Blue Prism and its Blue Prism intelligent automation platform.
SS&C Blue Prism implemented intelligent digital workers that integrate with DTE’s SAP system to identify qualifications due to expire within 30 days, generate assessment templates for evaluators, save results to a shared folder, and produce an automated daily report for leadership. The SS&C Blue Prism solution improved compliance and visibility, allowed DTE to automate 35 processes across functions in nine months, and delivered about 250,000 annualized hours saved.
