Citizen Developers Help S&P Global Ratings Deliver Innovative Automations

S&P Global Ratings, the world’s leading provider of independent credit ratings, faced the challenge of increasing operational efficiency in a highly regulated environment while maintaining strict governance and control. To scale automations quickly and leverage institutional knowledge, they adopted SS&C Blue Prism low-code technology and looked to combine a central Automation Center of Excellence (COE) with federated citizen developers to deliver compliant, repeatable automation.

SS&C Blue Prism helped S&P Global Ratings implement a robust Robotic Operating Model (ROM™), establish an Advanced Automation COE and train a network of over 20 active citizen developers across 13 locations. Citizen-built Blue Prism digital workers now handle tasks like website publication checks, data sourcing and internal reporting, generating hundreds of ideas and saving about 8,000 hours annually, improving time-to-market through faster data manipulation and release of market information.
