Ser Educacional, one of Brazil’s largest providers of higher education, launched its SER DIGITAL transformation to gain agility, reliability and better student and staff experiences across more than 60 campuses and 200,000 students. To automate repetitive, high-volume tasks and free employees for higher-value work, Ser Educacional deployed SS&C Blue Prism’s Digital Workforce (RPA) to identify and automate key back-office and student-facing processes such as billing and cross-system enrollment checks.
SS&C Blue Prism’s Digital Workers (named internally “Sofia” among others) automated the monthly billing run and cross-application verifications, cutting a process that previously required 24 people and 10 days down to about 9 hours, and reducing exception rates from 15% to 2.8%. Other workflows fell from 48 hours per department to under 30 minutes total, enabling 24/7 processing without new hires, redeploying staff to analytical tasks, improving compliance and driving measurable gains in efficiency and student service.
