Thomas Miller, a global insurer operating in 100 countries, faced a persistent problem moving complex legacy and transactional fleet insurance data between systems: individual ship transfers could involve thousands of transactions taking 5–10 minutes each, leaving some records unupdated for as long as 18 months. To solve this, Thomas Miller engaged SS&C Blue Prism and deployed Blue Prism’s intelligent digital workforce (digital workers) to automate the fleet transfer process.

SS&C Blue Prism’s digital workers took over the repetitive transfer tasks, cutting a process that once required three weeks of human effort down to days, eliminating backlogs and enabling fleet transfer data to be transferred and recorded immediately. The automation improved accuracy, ensured information is stored in the correct systems, kept records continuously up to date, and freed staff time for higher-value work.
