Aviva, one of the largest insurance providers in the UK, set out to put innovation and automation at the core of its business and partnered with SS&C Blue Prism to deliver that vision using the Blue Prism digital workforce. Faced with rapid scaling—hundreds of automations and the need for strict governance—Aviva built a robust robotic operating model to vet, develop and release automated processes safely.

Using SS&C Blue Prism, Aviva implemented a governed operating framework with targeted IT teams, a continuous release model, Splunk dashboards for exception prioritization, and reusable automation components (including Exchange webservices feeding 250+ processes). The result: more than 350 automated processes, 16 million transactions processed, a 99% problem-resolution success rate, 1.4 million hours returned to the business and millions of pounds saved.
