Allianz Builds a Future-Ready Business with Intelligent Automation

Allianz, the global insurer serving 126 million customers in 70 countries, needed to remove repetitive manual work, accelerate its digital and data strategies, and scale automation across underwriting, claims and back-office functions. In 2017 Allianz ran a proof of concept with SS&C Blue Prism to evaluate a digital workforce and build a repeatable foundation for enterprise-wide intelligent automation.

SS&C Blue Prism’s solution—deployed as 60 digital workers and supported by eight trained staff, a governance framework and change management—automated over 100 processes and about 2.5 million transactions annually, returning roughly 10,000 hours to employees each month. Allianz also integrated OCR and NLU to handle unstructured data, expanded automation into underwriting, pricing, finance, IT and compliance, and freed teams to focus on customer- and value‑add activities while accelerating its digital strategy.
