Agristo’s Fleet Seamlessly Enters the UK Post-Brexit with Help from a Digital Workforce

Agristo, a Belgian frozen‑potato supplier serving 130 countries with a 41,000‑truck fleet, faced a critical post‑Brexit compliance challenge: manual customs‑declaration work threatened to block trucks from entering the UK and tied employees up in repetitive tasks. To solve this, Agristo turned to SS&C Blue Prism and deployed a Blue Prism digital workforce to automate the customs paperwork and speed up compliance.

Working with partner Roborana, SS&C Blue Prism implemented digital workers to manage automatic document flows and complete customs declarations, removing the need to print paperwork and reducing the risk of delays. The solution enabled Agristo to process customs forms for 1,000 trucks per month without delay (one Agristo truck was even the first to cross into the UK post‑Brexit), eliminated downtime, increased employee productivity, and expanded automation into five new processes across customer service, finance, control and procurement.
