Agilent Leverages Decipher IDP To Pay Invoices 50% Faster and Improve Vendor Relationships

Agilent, a global leader in scientific instruments, faced a manual, time-consuming accounts payable workflow where each vendor invoice required scanning and up to six minutes of analyst processing in SAP. To reduce repetitive work and improve accuracy, Agilent engaged SS&C Blue Prism and deployed SS&C Blue Prism’s Decipher IDP together with a team of digital workers to automate invoice intake and validation.

SS&C Blue Prism’s solution uses Decipher IDP OCR to extract and validate invoice data, digital workers to cross‑check and flag anomalies, and automatic submission into SAP with human review only when needed. The result: invoice processing is 50% faster, turnaround times and late‑payment penalties have been reduced, vendor relationships strengthened, accuracy and compliance improved, and Agilent plans to roll the solution out across Asia and Europe.
