Carrefour Spain, led by Jesus Alberto, set out to replace its legacy eCommerce stack with an in‑house platform and needed a headless, developer‑friendly CMS that supported open standards, WYSIWYG editing for merchandisers, and deployment to Google Cloud Platform. Working with Bloomreach and Mindcurv, the team sought a trusted partner to deliver scalability, easy upgrades and faster feature delivery while keeping merchandising simple and efficient.

They integrated their homegrown eCommerce platform with Bloomreach Experience Manager (brXM) in headless mode on GCP/Kubernetes, enabling elastic scalability, API‑first front ends and WYSIWYG authoring. The result: the site handled pandemic traffic spikes without major issues, merchandiser productivity and campaign agility improved, and Carrefour gained cost savings, greater flexibility and faster time‑to‑market for new features — a platform built for future personalization and continuous evolution.
