Echo Global Logistics, a Chicago-based third-party logistics firm, relied on its Strategic Analytics team for data-driven insights but had no centralized knowledge base. Team members spent excessive time digging through emails and drives, repeatedly recreating analyses and losing institutional knowledge when people left.

In 2021 Echo implemented Bloomfire—branded internally as the “Knowledge Highway”—with deep search across file types, image previews, a customized taxonomy, and reusable analysis templates. Launched in September 2021, the platform made finding past work fast and easy, cut down duplicated research, improved onboarding/offboarding, and is beginning to spread value across other teams.
