City of Olathe Uses Bloomfire to Clean Up Documentation Mess

The City of Olathe, Kansas (population ~126,000), manages local infrastructure, permitting, utilities and other municipal services. When GIS Tech Helen Sangster started, the city had no organizational system for documents—staff relied on hope to find files, and an early file-based structure quickly became convoluted.

The city adopted Bloomfire as a centralized knowledge-sharing hub, starting with process documentation and then expanding to other content. That consolidation cleaned up the documentation mess, created a single organized repository, and made city information easier for employees to find and use.
