Bloomfire Transcends Borders, Connects People and Information for CISabroad International Studies Program

CISabroad, an international education organization in Northampton, MA that runs study abroad programs, internships and summer programs in over 40 countries, needed a more usable way to share knowledge with dispersed staff, partner faculty and students. Existing dedicated servers and shared drives were cumbersome and didn’t support building communities or easy access to answers for remote teams.

After evaluating several knowledge-base options, CISabroad implemented Bloomfire as both an internal knowledge-sharing platform and a public-facing resource for students and parents. Bloomfire’s multimedia posts, strong search and mobile access let staff find answers without calling headquarters, improve customer service, and provide a single, up-to-date source of information for advisors, students and families.
