GENBAND, a global provider of real-time communications software, faced a content-discovery problem: sales repeatedly requested materials that already existed but were buried in a SharePoint folder structure. Marketing created a Bloomfire content community—preloaded with collateral, presentations and event content, with easy search, previews and Salesforce integration—and launched it to the 400-person sales team at their annual conference. Within 2.5 weeks over 90% of members had viewed contributions, dozens of posts exceeded 50 views, and the platform boosted sales preparedness and collaboration between marketing and sales, with plans to expand Bloomfire across the company.
