A Blackbaud Case Study
The JetBlue Foundation, the airline’s charitable arm behind the “JetBlue for Good” program, aims to inspire humanity through youth, education, community and environmental initiatives while also supporting crewmembers in crisis. Faced with a scattered portfolio of programs and rudimentary tools (Excel and fax), the foundation struggled to focus its efforts, scale grantmaking, track outcomes, and respond quickly to emergencies.
By implementing Blackbaud Grantmaking (alongside Blackbaud marketing and fundraising tools), JetBlue streamlined online applications, enabled draft submissions and better applicant review, and began tracking outcomes to guide follow‑up. The platform improved efficiency and crisis response, supported initiatives like Destination Good, and helped the foundation back 70 organizations with $1.2M in grants, $1M in in‑kind donations, and 6,000 volunteer hours.
