A Bizagi Case Study
Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC) is a 1,400-bed tertiary hospital in Saudi Arabia that struggled with patient-safety risks, identity fraud and poor data quality caused by a legacy Hospital Information System and error-prone registration processes. The Patient Affairs unit needed reliable patient identification, seamless integration with existing systems and stronger process controls to prevent misuse of medical services and improve overall care delivery.
PSMMC implemented Bizagi BPM integrated with biometric palm sensors, smart patient cards and connections to the legacy HIS and the Ministry of Interior’s National Information Center. The solution standardized registration workflows, embedded patient data on cards and enabled real-time verification at points of care. Results included a 50% reduction in registration time, 80% fewer human errors, 60% higher staff productivity, a 50% rise in new registrations, and the automation of 13 key processes—leading to faster care, better data quality, stronger auditability and a clinician-led, process-oriented culture.
