Abengoa, a global energy and environmental technology company, needed a scalable, multi‑tenancy and multi‑language BPM platform to replace a rigid, non‑standard tool and to define groupwide administrative and operational processes and usability standards. The challenge included rapid roll‑out, integrations with SAP, PeopleSoft and Lotus Notes, and mobile access for executives, while supporting complex approvals and civil‑works workflows across many companies.

Using Bizagi BPM Suite, Abengoa implemented a “Process Factory” pilot and a Center of Excellence to standardize and accelerate automation: 40 processes were automated in under three months and 400+ in two years, connecting 150 companies and impacting over 30,000 users across four countries. Integrations with SAP, PeopleSoft, Lotus Notes and mobile devices (BlackBerry, iPad) enabled greater transparency, faster approvals, higher productivity and enterprise‑wide BPM adoption and sustainability.
