QualityHosting Migrates 1,000 Mailboxes for Germany’s Nussbaum Medien

QualityHosting, a German IT service provider with more than 20 years of Microsoft expertise, helped its customer Nussbaum Medien move from hosted Exchange to a Microsoft cloud environment. Nussbaum wanted to improve collaboration for remote work and reduce shadow IT, but the team was concerned about how long a migration of all mailboxes would take, especially after a slower PST migration years earlier.

QualityHosting used BitTitan’s MigrationWiz to migrate email, archives, and calendars for 1,000 users, about 3.5TB of data. The project used a pre-stage migration over the two weeks before cut-over, and the work was finished by Monday morning with users only needing to reconfigure Outlook profiles. QualityHosting said MigrationWiz saved 90% of the team’s time compared with a manual PST migration.
