ProActive helps COWI minimize operating costs by moving to the cloud

COWI, a Danish international consulting group with 7,500 employees, needed to move away from its large on-premises Exchange Public Folder environment as Microsoft phased it out. The company also wanted to reduce operating costs and begin working more in the cloud. ProActive worked with COWI on the migration, and BitTitan’s MigrationWiz was selected after Microsoft’s first-party tool was found unable to handle the size of the environment.

Using BitTitan MigrationWiz, ProActive migrated COWI’s Exchange Public Folders to Microsoft 365, including Office 365 Groups and SharePoint. The project covered 20 TB of data in 32 million emails, described as Europe’s largest public folder environment. The move helped COWI minimize operating costs by removing the need to maintain legacy on-premises systems, while also improving collaboration, remote work, and keeping systems current in the cloud.
