McDuffie Dentistry, led by Dr. Jamel McDuffie, struggled with few (and several negative) online reviews and limited staff time to follow up with patients, which hurt local search rankings and new patient acquisition. To address this, McDuffie Dentistry partnered with BirdEye and implemented the BirdEye platform to automate review generation and reputation management.
BirdEye set up automated post-appointment SMS review requests that send patients directly to Google and Facebook, real-time review alerts for staff, and a custom SEO-optimized review microsite. The results were dramatic: a 994% increase in Google reviews in one year, a 346% increase in overall reviews, an average rating improvement from 4.4 to 4.9, and improved search visibility (top‑5/local pack placement and page‑1 microsite), leading to higher click‑throughs and more bookings.
