Southwest International Full-service truck dealer rolls out modern payment portal, driving customer self-service

Southwest International, a full‑service International truck dealer with five locations and 400+ employees, faced legacy accounts‑receivable processes: no self‑service invoice/payment portal, frequent invoice resends, and manual application of payments in Karmak Fusion. To modernize AR and provide a common platform for dealership and leasing customers, Southwest engaged Billtrust to deliver a digital billing and payments solution integrated with their Karmak Fusion dealer management system.

Billtrust implemented its billing portal via the standardized Karmak connector, enabling customers to view invoices, schedule and pay online while payments are touchless and matched back to Karmak Fusion. The rollout reduced calls for invoice resends and duplicate/unapplied payments, shortened days‑to‑pay through easier digital options, freed AR staff from time‑consuming credit‑card processing, and delivered measurable time savings—while positioning Southwest to further automate collections with Billtrust.
