Natus, a medical equipment provider, faced rising manual work in accounts receivable as hospital and medical buyers shifted to virtual card payments. To modernize and automate the payment experience, Natus partnered with Billtrust and adopted Billtrust’s Business Payments Network (BPN) to automatically capture and apply customer payments.
Billtrust implemented BPN’s bi-directional portal, cutting manual processes in half and saving roughly 140 hours per month; collectors halved their processing time and weekly exceptions dropped to just 5–10. Since going live, Natus processed nearly 3,000 payments totaling $11.8M in the last three months, with 60% of payments via virtual cards, faster customer payments, and more time reallocated to strategic work.
