Yumi increases efficiency and stays on trend by migrating from Salesforce Commerce Cloud

Yumi, a UK women’s fashion brand with more than 20 years in business, several spin-off labels, five brick-and-mortar stores and distribution in major department stores, needed to re-evaluate its ecommerce stack when continued development on Salesforce Commerce Cloud became untenable. The team wanted a more nimble, feature-rich and lower-cost platform that would improve speed to market and be easy for their in-house staff to manage, so they evaluated Magento, Shopify Plus, Volusion and BigCommerce and selected BigCommerce.

Working with agency 5874, Yumi migrated from Salesforce Commerce Cloud to BigCommerce in three months, using the BigCommerce API to build custom integrations and a scheduled-promotions app; the platform’s fast page loads, bulk product tools and intuitive UI made the team more efficient. The switch drove measurable gains: 43% month-over-month revenue growth, a 6.5% conversion rate and a 30% month-over-month increase in average order value, along with higher traffic and sales.
