Raven + Lily is a socially conscious lifestyle brand founded by Kirsten Dickerson to create sustainable livelihoods for marginalized women while building a profitable business that balances people, profit and planet. After starting as a nonprofit, the company faced the challenge of scaling artisan partnerships, showcasing its design-driven products and growing ecommerce revenue to increase its social impact.

Raven + Lily transitioned to a for-profit social enterprise and launched a polished, scalable Bigcommerce store with in-house design, analytics and third‑party apps (Stitch Labs, SearchSpring, ShipStation, MailChimp). The result: a 150% increase in ecommerce sales from 2012–2014, a multi‑fold YoY sales jump, stronger profit margins, the employment of 800+ at‑risk women (with plans to expand further) and a successful flagship retail opening in Austin.
