Beer Cartel, founded in 2009 by Richard Kelsey, grew from a small subscription business into Australia’s largest craft beer retailer with over 1,000 SKUs and a popular brick-and-mortar store. Migrating to BigCommerce in 2015 and integrating Mailchimp, Zapier and Justuno gave Beer Cartel the automation, omnichannel features (online purchase with in-store pickup, gift cards) and developer flexibility it needed. The results: traffic up 400%, sales and orders up more than 300% YoY, and a 650% increase in the email database, while operations became more efficient and ready for further innovation.
