First Hawaiian Bank, a regional financial institution, faced challenges meeting regulatory and audit requirements for its IT assets. They needed a unified Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to improve IT service and seize the opportunity to overhaul asset management by linking assets to key ITSM processes. They partnered with vendor Beyond20 to address this using Cherwell Asset Management.

Beyond20 implemented a solution by building a critical integration between Cherwell Asset Management (CAM) and Cherwell Service Management (CSM). This allowed the bank to track and manage workstations, servers, and network devices directly within the CSM platform. The project successfully created a unified CMDB without requiring the bank to abandon its existing asset databases.
