Tetley launches new Cold Infusions product line and wins retail customers with sampling

Tetley, one of the UK’s largest tea brands, launched Tetley Cold Infusions to capture growing demand for cold beverages. The challenge was entering a new category while quickly building awareness, educating shoppers on how to use the product, and driving retail trial and sales.

Tetley used Bazaarvoice Brand Edge and Sampling to send products to targeted, engaged consumers and syndicate hundreds of in-depth reviews across retail sites. The reviews improved search ranking and conversions—driving a 238% sales increase at one retailer (Asda) in the four weeks after the campaign—and yielded actionable feedback (e.g., brewing instructions, compostability) that informed product and content updates; sampling will be central to future launches.
