Sampling Lights Up Sales for TIKI Brand Torches

TIKI Brand, the long-standing maker of outdoor torches, wanted to boost review volume at the launch of its Clean Burn Tabletop Firepieces and Torch Fuel to drive more sales and influence retail shoppers. The challenge was to generate lots of authentic, high-quality consumer-generated content at launch that would increase conversion and inform product improvements.

TIKI used Bazaarvoice Sampling and Ratings & Reviews to send pre-launch products to loyal brand advocates (all participant reviews were attributed and badged as incentivized). The program drove an 85% review submission rate, produced rich photos/videos and actionable feedback that led to packaging changes, and helped lift performance—site visitors who read reviews were 24% more likely to buy and 60% more likely to click “Where to Buy”—while enabling syndication to retail partners and expansion of Sampling to other products.
